Entrepreneurship First
Why does a website focused on self-improvement list promote entrepreneurship first?
The answer is because of experience.
To make truly meaningful change requires a great deal of effort and a willingness to view oneself in a true light. The willingness to take it upon oneself to change through processes and behaviors that are known to be counterproductive to the goal of improving one’s own circumstances.
One must be ready to do a true assessment of oneself and see all that has lead to a point where they desire change. This is not to be overly critical of our decisions and actions, but rather to get an accurate assessment of where one stands so as to know what is necessary to get their ideal life. This is no easy task, and isn’t a once-and-done then move-on step in a list but rather a mentality where one sees oneself in a prospective, rather than static light. That belief one can move from the person they are now, to the person they want to be.
Realizing one’s true potential is not an end in itself, but rather a continual motivating factor among a series of behaviors, mindsets, and lifelong journey that drive us to said potential.
Mindsets and Mindfulness are crucial
Willingness to accept full responsibility for one’s circumstances
Never blaming others for our own life circumstances
Clear vision of who we are and where we want to be
Seeking out new and more challenging problems to overcome rather than avoiding them
Stepping out of our comfort zone
Guarding the thoughts we have, and the thoughts of others we allow to influence us
Surrounding ourselves with like-minded individuals, with similar goals
Learning from those who have been successful at the goals we desire to achieve
Cutting distractions, and focusing on those tasks that provide us the greatest value
A commitment to lifelong learning
Care for our physical and emotional self
Knowledge that it will be hard, VERY HARD, but worth it
Knowing our purpose for why we desire change and why our goals matter to us
As it turns out. These very same behaviors are nearly, if not identical to the behaviors and mentalities of some of the most successful entrepreneurs. Still in my infancy as a business owner, I am already reeling in the benefits of entrepreneurship. Mostly in the form of psychological benefits such as improved feelings of self-worth, and increased self-esteem. Benefits which are crucial to any journey of self-improvement, self-fulfillment, and the realization of one’s true potential.
That’s why I invite you to check out what my mentor in this realm has to say. He’s was at a low point in life just like I was half a decade ago, and if you are reading this now - I am guessing that low is where you or someone you love are lingering now. His life transformation, a directional 180, was nothing short remarkable and he continues to inspire me and provide insight to ways of thinking I never-knew and motivates me to be better every day. If you’d like to hear a little bit from him, please enter your email in the box provided. Doing so will allow me to provide you with information relating to the bullet points above. As well as provide fun, engaging, and useful tools, information, and resources to help you along your own journey.
My own experience with the co-mingled processes of self-improvement and entrepreneurship have already begun to provide tangible benefits to my life, and I invite you to come along as well. Take the reins, control your outcomes, and embark on what could become the most beneficial decision you ever made. I cannot guarantee that you will be successful - that is solely dependent on you.
For me, I stood at the precipice and realized I was not looking down, but looking up. So I decided to take one more bet on myself. I took one action, got more information, and slowly creeped outside my comfort zone. One action led to others and before long I saw those actions were a ladder. A latter I manifested, and I was lifting myself from the hole.
Whether you find me inspiring, boring, crazy, or incredulous - In any case, I wish you the best.
Be better, and press on.
